How does Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity™ work?
This product offers a unique combination of nutrients plus a probiotic that are clinically supported to keep kids immune systems healthy. Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity uses a unique fast melt technology with a coated vitamin C technology. This vitamin C technology increases stability by reducing its interaction with the probiotic strain and other nutrients to ensure maximum immune benefits in kids. Additionally, 10% of the vitamin C in this product comes from acerola sourced from the Nutrilite farms.
What are probiotics?
Probiotic literally means “for life”. Probiotics are living microorganisms that, when ingested in sufficient amounts, benefit the health of the consumer. Once in our intestines, these natural and friendly bacteria help balance our gut and support our immune system.
Are all probiotics the same?
No, probiotics are described by their genus (e.g., Bifidobacterium), their species (e.g.,lactis) and their strain (e.g., HN019). Probiotic function and effectiveness in the body is often strain specific, thus it is important to be aware of the strain type. Probiotics that are supported by strain-specific research have the strongest evidence for health specific use.
When it comes to probiotics, I have heard that more is better – more strains, more CFUs. Isn’t this true?
More doesn’t always equal better. Clinical evidence shows 1 billion CFUs of Bifidobacterium Lactis HN019 (our probiotic strain) is safe and supports immune health.
Why do some probiotics come in a capsule? How is Nutrilite™ Kids Immunity Complete better or different than those probiotics I see in capsules?
Capsules provide an additional layer of protection to the probiotics but is also an additional barrier that must be removed before the good bacteria can go to work in your gut. Capsules are often hard to swallow for children, whereas Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity is easier to use, whether sprinkled directly onto the tongue or added to a cold beverage, cold cereal or yogurt. Our stick pack format is convenient to use on the go and easy to share with friends.
Does Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity Probiotic contain a prebiotic?
No, Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity does not contain a prebiotic (A prebiotic is a component of some foods that the body cannot digest, often characterized as high-fiber foods. They serve as food for the bacteria in the gut.). In combination with the fast melt technology and the selected nutrients, a prebiotic was not added to ensure kids had the best sensory experience and did not experience stomach upset. A prebiotic can impact the product’s texture and dissolvability, thus affecting the product experience. Furthermore, some kids tummies may be sensitive to some prebiotics initially.
What scientific evidence is there to support this product?
Clinical studies show vitamin C, zinc, and vitamin D support immune health in kids. Bifidobacterium lactis HN019 is one of the most clinically studied probiotic strains.
Can I mix this product with orange juice, soft drinks, and sports drinks?
Yes. The probiotic strains in this product are naturally strong strains that can survive the acid environment of the stomach, which has a much lower pH than commonly consumed beverages.
Can I use this product with frozen drinks/foods?
Yes. Our probiotics can survive temperatures below 32° F (0° C).
Is there a difference in the effectiveness of this product if I am sprinkling directly on to my tongue versus mixing with cold foods/beverages?
This product should be equally efficacious when sprinkled directly onto your tongue or mixed with cold foods/beverages.
Are there any potential side effects from taking this product?
Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity is formulated with specific nutrients and a probiotic bacteria strain to support immune health in kids. The levels of nutrients and probiotic bacteria are considered safe and well-tolerated by kids. Less than 1% of test subjects report any side effects from taking probiotics. Of those that may report any side effect, such is usually limited to mild gas, and the problem is remedied when the user discontinues use for a few weeks and then resumes taking probiotics at 50% of the recommended level while slowly building to the full dose. The likelihood of users experiencing unwanted side effects that would lead to discontinuation of use is not anticipated. In some instances, sugar alcohols found in this formula may cause diarrhea and gastrointestinal upset and discomfort. If such symptoms occur, please discontinue use immediately.
Can I use this product while being treated with antibiotics?

Under such circumstances Kids Complete Immunity should be taken either two hours before or two hours after intake of antibiotics. This product may be taken during antibiotic therapy to encourage growth of good bacteria and contribute to healthy gut microflora. Daily use of this product is recommended for best results.

Mix with cold or room temperature foods or beverages immediately prior to consumption or pour directly on the tongue.
My kid eats yogurt and other fermented foods frequently. Aren’t they getting enough probiotics from these?
Yogurt is a great source of high-quality protein, calcium and vitamin D. Yogurts also provide beneficial bacteria, but most do not provide details on the specific strains or the potency (CFUs). Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity guarantees potency of 1 billion CFU at expiry, yogurt does not. Most yogurts do not target specific benefits. The same applies to relying on other fermented foods such as kimchi, kombucha and sauerkraut, to provide you with probiotics. We encourage you to continue enjoying yogurts and fermented foods as part of a nutritious diet. However, when you are looking for a targeted probiotic supplement to work naturally with your kid’s existing gut microflora to support immune health, Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity is a great supplement to choose.
My kid plays outside in the sun, so does my kid need more vitamin D?
Sun is an excellent source of vitamin D; however, many individuals still have low vitamin D levels when measured using a blood test. Low vitamin D levels, despite playing outside in the sun, may be a result of geographical location, skin tone, amount of time in the sun obtaining, clothing worn in the sun, and sunscreen usage. Thus, a supplement, such as Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity provides a consistent source of vitamin D.
My kid eats oranges and other foods rich in vitamin C, so does my kid need more vitamin C?
Whole foods are the best source of vitamin C. However, many kids have nutrient gaps in their diets, since they may not consistently consume foods rich in vitamin C. Since vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, it must be replenished. Thus, a supplement, such as Nutrilite™ Kids Complete Immunity provides a consistent source of vitamin C daily.
