Unlocking potential with Amway Education

What education and training does Amway offer to IBOs? More than 130 online and app-based courses designed to help build a sustainable business.

Why Amway Education is a game-changer for entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs don’t always have an ideal support system. By definition, they are typically individuals who start and manage businesses, assuming all the risk and responsibilities connected to making them a success.

Those who choose to start an Amway business, however, have access to multiple forms of support that can guide them and teach them how to build a sustainable business selling high quality nutrition, beauty, fitness and home products to customers. That includes a wide variety of Amway training and education. Amway believes that people are in business for themselves, but never by themselves.

Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) have access to Amway Education, a learning system powered by the IBO Academy available online or through an app. It offers more than 130 courses in multiple languages that can help IBOs learn how to grow their business.

“Whether you're brand new to the business or a seasoned expert, there's something here for everyone,” said Cara Bixel, manager of Amway Education. “And new courses are added regularly, so you can continue to build your knowledge and skills.”

A comprehensive curriculum for business growth

The Amway Education curriculum is built on decades of successful entrepreneurial experience, and the courses are updated regularly. Some are even curated into learning paths, guiding IBOs through groups of related courses that build on each other.

They cover a wide variety of topics related to running an Amway business. That includes selling strategies, business tips, company rules, leadership skills, how to use Amway’s online business tools and how to optimize earning potential.

“We also have simulators and activities that depict how to actually earn money through selling products to customers and helping others do the same,” Bixel said.

Tailored learning for diverse needs

In addition to being offered in multiple languages, the Amway Education system features courses in various, immersive formats to accommodate people’s wide variety of learning styles: playing games, taking quizzes, participating in simulations or watching interactive videos. And some courses can be downloaded to allow for convenient, offline learning.

“Amway Education will also recommend various courses based on where IBOs are in their business building journey, providing information that meets them where they are and helps guide them to the next step,” Bixel said.

And, if IBOs cannot finish a course in one sitting, it remembers their progress so when they return, they can easily pick up where they left off.

The Amway training advantage

Many IBOs reference the Amway training and support as a differentiator from other entrepreneurship opportunities and a key resource for growing their Amway™ business, including Oumar and Fatoumata “Dèdè” Toure Keita.

Oumar said they tried several entrepreneurial ventures before finding Amway, including a clothing store, car insurance and real estate.

“We had no process – we really just would sit down, write down ideas, and whatever sounded good, we’d try and turn it into a business. It was like throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what stuck,” he said. “Needless to say, we didn’t have the knowledge, the experience or the support we needed to become successful.

“When we came across the Amway opportunity, we saw everything that we were missing and obviously it was a no-brainer,” he continued. “Amway focuses on reducing barriers to entry for aspiring entrepreneurs and that’s what it has done for the 60-plus years of its existence.”

Adan and Francisca Ledezma also praised the IBO Academy and other resources offered by the company and fellow IBOs.

“With the endless support and cooperation we have received from so many other Amway IBOs and the resources Amway has shared with us to develop our entrepreneurial skills, we have never felt alone,” they said.

“We have not had to invest hours, weeks and months figuring it all out by ourselves, leaving us more time to focus on the things that are really important – like helping our family, our selling teams and our customers to live better, healthier lives.”
